Hi Everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read this post! I am very
excited to get started with this month’s Compassionate Cards mission. This month will be Fayetteville Senior Activity Center and the Meals on Wheels Program. I hope that you will join me in this important cause to support and lift up the seniors in the community.
There are no restrictions for your card donations. Anything that you can do to help and encourage would be much appreciated. There were some suggestions from the director that they could use the following card ideas: Thinking of you, Thank you, Missing you, Welcome and Get Well. Please leave them blank inside. I have a pre-printed message that I place inside each card. Please try and send an envelope along with your card, if possible.
I'll be sure and update how many cards we have donated.
Please have your cards to me no later than September 30th.
Send them to this address:
Compassionate Cards
PO Box 1145
Gig Harbor, WA 98335
Please do not hesitate to ask questions. Thank you in advance to all
that can participate! I know they will appreciate them dearly. :0) Julie.

This is going to be so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteI love elderly people!!! I only got to meet one grandparent and she passed away when I was in 7th grade. She was 86 at that time. My parents were up in age when they had me, so the others were gone already.
Older people just have such a great spin on life and they make me happy!
Hi Kristen! I feel the same way. I have volunteered at a retirement home and there is something magical about spending time with someone who you have never met and hear stories of when they were younger. The Great Depression, the loves in their lives, The wars, and their life's experiences. It's like opening a book and reading all about someone, but instead of a book, there someone is in front of you and you get to ask questions! It's facinating! XOXO, Julie. :0)
